The AIUB admission test final results will be published today after 5pm… I’m looking at the the time on the PC I’m working on and it’s 12:36 to be exact. Which means 5hours to go give or take. I’m not gonna lie I’m a bit nervous although I am showing everyone that I’m pretty confident that I’ll make it. After the interview I told everyone that even if they take only one student for enrollment in their spring semester, then that would be me. But now I’m thinking that i might have over exaggerated a little. Anyways what’s done is done. All there’s left to do now is to wait….
Enough about study related crap. Let’s talk about something else.
I have to say I’m a bit disappointed that Leena hasn’t replied to my mail yet. Have to say I quite like reading/getting mails. Hope by the time I reach home, her mail will be waiting for me in my ymail.
In other news, my desktop PC is not in a good shape… first of all the Samsung 1TB hard drive has failed all the available hard disk tests including the S.M.A.R.T test. Which in general means i should by this time start looking for a new hard drive , but I’m looking for alternatives not only because money is a bit of a problem for me but also it’ll be a severe pain in the ass to back up 1TB of data…
There is a DOS program provided by Seagate which might be able to solve the problem to a certain extent, but for that i have to write a bootable disk. Sad thing i don’t have a burner. So have to thing about another way around that too.
Recently the PC has been hanging on random occurrences and without BSODs so i think it might be the PSU who is the culprit here along with the hard drive. Jewel is gonna sell his Thermaltek Lite but again money is the issue here as I cant affored 2k at this time. So before going home I’m gonna head to the tech shop and get a cheap PSU. Installing that might give me a hint as to what really is the problem.
And also i’ve to head to the local market to get some groceries for mum. Ashfaq, my brother-in-law is gonna bade us goodbye at the afternoon so think mum wants to give him a proper lunch treat…
Also I’m thinking of meeting with my friends at the afternoon after there pre-med coaching ends which will be after 4:30. Perfect, as that will probably be the time i’ll get my results.
Hopefully it’ll be a positive one…
